The Chinese-American Planning Council mission is to provide services to Chinese-American, immigrant and low income families in New York City.
Through the SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM of the CPC, the TEAM 3D STUDIO will be employing youths to work in the studio for a period of 6 weeks during the summer. They will be taught : what 3D printing is, the parts and workings of a 3D printer, download files from the internet, prepare files for 3D printing, make their own designs using an internet based software, how to use a photo and slide scanner, and how to design with a sculptural software. They will have access to the 3D printer, a scanner and desktop computer in our TEAM 3D STUDIO in Brooklyn.
THE QUAD PREPARATORY SCHOOL
An Independent 2e School - A program of TEAM 3D weekly periods of elective attendance by students teaching them what 3D printing is, the parts and workings of a 3D printer, download files from the internet, prepare files for 3D printing and make their own designs using an internet based software. A 3D printer is provided to the school for 3D printing by students after school
